All our lenses are made from high-quality, high-tech hardened plastic. Our lenses:
- are nonreflective,
- offer UV protection,
- are scratch resistant,
- have a hydrophobic easy-clean coating,
- and an EMI coating.
You can also have your lenses tinted, if you wish. Most opticians charge for these extras. At Brille24, it's all in the fixed and guaranteed price of £39.90.
Non-Reflective Lenses
Glasses that reflect are annoying because part of the light that would have reached your eyes is reflected. In addition, while talking with people, at times it can be difficult for them to see your eyes properly, this can be distracting. Our non-reflective coating make sure that, in ideal conditions, at least 90% of the light reaches your eyes. So you can see properly and be seen well.
Our sunglasses are also made with a non-reflective coating. This prevents reflection of your own eyes appearing on the inside of your lenses, preventing you from seeing things clearly. This can be especially important if you wear sunglasses while driving.
Scratch resistant coating
Brille24´s scratch resistant coating protects your lenses from being scratched by all the tiny particles they encounter on a daily basis. This coating is essential for acetate lenses if they are to last for a long time. This is of course, included in our all-in-one price.
UV-protection
All our lenses offer the highest standard of UV-protection. UV-rays can damage your eyes even on cloudy days, so why take a chance on anything less than our UV-Protection?
Hydrophobic easy-clean coating
The flowers of the lotus plant are cleaned by the rain. Raindrops roll across the surface taking dust and dirt with them as they go. Our hydrophobic coating works on our lenses in a similar fashion. In fact, they practically clean themselves.
EMI-Coating
Our E.M.I.-Coating helps your eyes to look at a computer monitor for longer by absorbing electromagnetic radiation given out by your screen. Even if your eyesight is otherwise perfect, you can order a pair of computer glasses with plain glass instead of optical lenses to prevent tired eyes when you're at work. The E.M.I.-Coating also protect your eyes when you're watching television.
Tinted glasses can bring colour to your world.
Coloured lenses can give you and your world a whole new look. Brille24 offers you lenses in seven different colours - brown, grey, G15 green, blue, green, red and yellow. And four different strengths - from a 10% tint to an 85% tint. Our online fitting room lets you try them out.

Over 80% of lenses for spectacles sold nowadays are made from plastic, not glass. Modern plasticis practically as hard and scratch resistant as glass, but also much lighter meaning your spectacles will be more comfortable - especially if you wear them all day. Plus, there is little danger of the lenses breaking if dropped.
