What do I do if my lenses are scratched?

Having scratches on your lenses is annoying. At Brille24 we put a special hardened anti-scratch coating on all our lenses to prevent scratching. But even the latest high-tech coatings aren't perfect. If you do have a distracting scratch on your lens, then there is only one thing to do. Get new glasses.Trying to polish away a scratch is very difficult, and if you succeed, you will only make things worse. If you were to manage to polish the scratch away despite the hardened coating, you would inevitably end up damaging further coatings and upsetting the balance of the carefully made, multilayered lens. And the lens would be exposed to further damage. On top of that, you would also alter the power of the lens, almost certainly unevenly, meaning that it would no longer be suited to the needs of your eyes. The only answer is to replace damaged lenses. And it can often be easier and cheaper to order a new pair of glasses from Brille24.
